Mission Statement: The Pax Christi Catholic Academy Trust aspires to be: A Christ centred learning community in which every individual is enabled to fulfil their true potential.
The Pax Christi Catholic Academy Trust was established on 1st October 2012 and incorporates five academies:
- Christ The King Catholic Voluntary Academy
- The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy
- Holy Cross Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy
- Sacred Heart Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy
- St Margaret Clitherow Primary and Nursery Catholic Voluntary Academy
Each of these schools before conversion to Academy status was a Voluntary Aided School in the trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nottingham.
Christ the King is a secondary school with students from age 11 – 18 years. The four partner primary academies take children from age 3 – 11 years. The forming of the multi-academy trust has enabled closer ties and working between the academies. An example of this would be when our primary age children make use of specialist facilities at Christ The King, e.g. Design and Technology workshops and Science laboratories. During the Autumn Term 2014 children representing each academy within the trust took part in a thanksgiving mass held at The Church of The Good Shepherd in Woodthorpe.
Each academy within the trust is successful in its own right. Four are judged to be “Good” by OFSTED with Sacred Heart being rated as “Outstanding”. Directors have a vision for the future of the trust which will enable academies to build on this strength to become even more successful.
You can access the individual websites for our academies along with information about the multi-academy trust by using the menu at the top of the page. Please navigate to the academy websites for information relating to that academy, e.g. admissions etc and to the trust website for statutory information, e.g. Annual Accounts.
